1. Warranty Coverage

Scraptech Pty Ltd ("we", "our" or "us"), trading as ST Engineering, Hardwood Forest Products Australia and HFP Attachments, provides warranty coverage on Goods and Services supplied by us in accordance with these Warranty Terms and Conditions, our Terms and Conditions, and the Australian Consumer Law.

Unless otherwise stated in writing at the time of sale:

• Australian-manufactured products manufactured by Scraptech Pty Ltd are covered by a 12-month warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
• Imported products are covered by the applicable manufacturer's or supplier's warranty.
• Workshop repairs, fabrication, manufacturing, installation, modification and engineering services are covered by our workmanship warranty in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.
• Certain products may carry a different manufacturer or product-specific warranty period. Where applicable, this will be stated on the quotation, invoice, product documentation or product listing.



2. Warranty Period

Unless otherwise stated in writing:

• Product warranties commence from the date of delivery or collection.
• Workmanship warranties commence upon completion of the Services.

Warranty coverage applies to the original purchaser unless otherwise required by law.

3. What This Warranty Covers

Subject to these Warranty Terms and Conditions, this warranty may cover:

• Defects in manufacturing.
• Defects in materials.
• Faulty workmanship.
• Structural failure resulting from manufacturing defects.
• Repair or replacement of defective products or components at our discretion.
• Re-performance of defective Services where applicable.

4. What This Warranty Does Not Cover

This warranty does not cover:

• Normal wear and tear.
• Consumable or wear components unless the failure is due to a manufacturing defect.
• Damage caused by misuse, abuse, negligence or overloading.
• Incorrect installation or fitment performed by others.
• Operation outside the intended application or rated capacity.
• Incorrect hydraulic flow, pressure, electrical supply or machine configuration.
• Damage caused by accident, collision or environmental conditions.
• Corrosion, weathering or cosmetic deterioration that does not affect operation.
• Failure to carry out normal servicing or maintenance.
• Unauthorised repairs or modifications.
• Damage caused by another machine, attachment or component.
• Buyer-supplied parts or materials.
• Freight, travel, removal, installation, downtime, hire equipment or consequential costs unless required by Australian Consumer Law or otherwise agreed in writing.

5. Warranty Claims Process

To make a warranty claim:

1. Contact Scraptech Pty Ltd by phone, email or through one of our websites.
2. Provide:

• Proof of purchase.
• Product details.
• Machine make and model (where applicable).
• A detailed description of the issue.
• Photographs or videos where available.
• Operating hours or kilometres where applicable.

1. Where requested, make the Goods, machinery or equipment available for inspection before repairs are undertaken.
2. We will assess the warranty claim as soon as reasonably practicable.

If the claim is accepted, Scraptech Pty Ltd may, at its discretion:

• Repair the product.
• Replace the defective component.
• Replace the product.
• Re-perform the affected Services.
• Arrange assessment or repair through the manufacturer.
• Provide a refund or credit where appropriate.

Shipping and Transport Costs

Where a warranty claim is approved, Scraptech Pty Ltd will generally cover reasonable freight or transport costs associated with the approved warranty claim unless otherwise agreed in writing.

If inspection determines that the issue resulted from misuse, incorrect installation, accident, unauthorised modification or another excluded circumstance, the customer will be responsible for any inspection, labour, freight or associated costs incurred.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Scraptech Pty Ltd's liability is limited to repairing, replacing or re-performing the affected Goods or Services, or providing another remedy permitted under the Australian Consumer Law.

• We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including loss of production, profits, revenue, business interruption, hire costs or downtime except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

7. Australian Consumer Law

This warranty is provided in addition to the guarantees and rights available under the Australian Consumer Law.

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to:

• A replacement or refund for a major failure.
• Compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
• Have goods repaired or replaced, or services supplied again, if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Nothing in these Warranty Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.

8. Relationship to Our Terms and Conditions

These Warranty Terms and Conditions should be read together with the Scraptech Pty Ltd Terms and Conditions.

If there is any inconsistency between these Warranty Terms and Conditions and our Terms and Conditions, the Terms and Conditions will prevail.
