With more than 36 years of combined industry experience, our team delivers practical engineering solutions backed by specialist manufacturing capabilities, experienced tradespeople and local technical support. Through our specialist divisions, including Hardwood Forest Products Australia and HFP Attachments, we provide complete engineering, manufacturing and equipment solutions for Australian industry.
Our history
After 17 years specialising in recycling, construction and earthmoving repairs, fabrication and manufacturing, Dave established ST Engineering in 2013.
Starting with a single service truck, the business quickly gained a reputation for quality workmanship, reliable service and practical engineering solutions. Within six months, ST Engineering had expanded into its first workshop in Lilydale, followed by larger premises in Bayswater as demand continued to grow.
As the business evolved, so did its capabilities. Investment in equipment, skilled tradespeople and manufacturing facilities allowed ST Engineering to expand beyond repairs into custom engineering, heavy vehicle repairs, hydraulic services, fabrication and specialised manufacturing for customers across transport, earthmoving, forestry, recycling and government industries.
In May 2023, ST Engineering entered its next stage of growth through the acquisition of Hardwood Forest Products Australia, bringing together two highly respected businesses under one roof in a purpose-built 1,600-square-metre facility in Kilsyth, Victoria. Originally established as Victorian Highlands Logging Company (VHLC) in the early 1990s, Hardwood Forest Products Australia has built a long-standing reputation for manufacturing quality forestry and earthmoving attachments for the Australian market.
Recognising increasing demand for imported attachment solutions alongside Australian-made equipment, ST Engineering later launched HFP Attachments. This division complements the Hardwood Forest Products Australia manufacturing range by supplying carefully selected excavator and skid steer attachments from leading international manufacturers, backed by Australian technical support, spare parts and after-sales service.
Today, ST Engineering employs a skilled team delivering engineering, manufacturing, heavy vehicle repairs, hydraulic services and equipment solutions throughout Australia. From one-off fabrication projects and fleet maintenance through to Australian-made forestry equipment and premium imported attachments, our businesses work together to provide complete solutions backed by local expertise, experienced tradespeople and ongoing customer support.
